Position: Java Developer (Middle) Company: Dreamlab Technologies Ltd LLP City: Astana Employment: offline Salary: 600,000 – 1,000,000 ₸ per month net

Dreamlab Technologies is an IT consulting company providing services in business consulting, system integration, design, and software development for the corporate and public sectors. Vacancy Description:

• Development and support of REST API microservices (Java/Kotlin + Spring Boot).

• Writing and maintaining DB migrations (Liquibase/PostgreSQL).

• Implementation of integrations with external systems and inter-service communication (Kafka, Feign).

• Support of authorization via Keycloak.

• Writing unit/integration tests.

• Participation in code reviews, maintaining code quality and consistency.

• Localization and elimination of defects, supporting system operability.

• Java 17+ — confident knowledge (OOP, generics, collections, Stream API, JVM concepts).

• Kotlin — working level (a significant portion of the services are written in Kotlin 1.7.x).

• Understanding the differences and interaction between Java ↔️ Kotlin in the same project.

• Spring ecosystem

• Spring Boot 3.x (autoconfiguration, profiles, configuration via YAML/env).

• Spring Web / REST — design and implementation of REST API.

• Spring Data JPA / Hibernate — entity mapping, repositories, transactions, query optimization.

• Spring Security / OAuth2 Resource Server — JWT, integration with Keycloak (OIDC).

• Spring Cloud Gateway — routing (at an understanding level).

• Build and tools

• Gradle (Kotlin DSL preferred) — build.gradle.kts structure, dependencies, sourceSets, working with private repositories (Nexus) and local ~/.m2.

• Basic knowledge of Maven (a few modules — Keycloak SPI — are on Maven).

• Git — branches, merge/rebase, code review.

• Databases and migrations

• PostgreSQL — SQL, indexes, understanding query plans.

• Liquibase — writing and applying migrations.

• Infrastructure and integrations

• Docker / Docker Compose — setting up local environment (DB, Keycloak, Kafka, MinIO).

• Apache Kafka — producers/consumers, understanding event-driven architecture.

• Keycloak — realms, clients, roles, tokens (at configuration and integration level).

• REST integrations between services (OpenFeign / RestClient).

• OpenAPI / Swagger (springdoc).

• General competencies

• Understanding of microservice architecture (inter-service communication, configuration, logging).

• Reading and debugging code in a multi-module project.
