Software Engineering Team Lead (Adtech)

Location: This role requires being on-site at the Berlin office for at least 80% of weekly working hours. Up to 20% mobile work is allowed from anywhere within Germany, with an option to work from abroad for this portion. Visa sponsorship is provided for joining from outside of Germany, and candidates planning to relocate to Berlin are welcome.

What you will do

• Lead and mentor a diverse hybrid team of software engineers.
• Define and drive the technical vision and strategy for the Reach Ads product, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Oversee the entire software development lifecycle for Reach Ads, from planning to deployment.
• Collaborate with Product and Development teams to build scalable solutions using Java, Python, and AWS.
• Ensure system availability, stability, quality of service, and security standards are met.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning, professional development, and transparent communication within the team.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in software engineering and a strong background in team leadership.
• Proficiency in Java and a good understanding of software architecture.
• Experience or willingness to work with a distributed team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Agile mindset and experience with modern development practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for staying ahead of industry trends and technologies.
• Must be able to work on-site at the Berlin office for at least 80% of weekly working hours.
