A Junior+ QA engineer for the product team of the digital mortgage broker BI Finance. We need a specialist with basic testing experience for manual functional and UI testing of the platform, including integrations with Kazakhstan banks.
Responsibilities:
- Testing the functionality of the digital mortgage broker platform: mortgage calculator, client application funnel, personal account, mortgage selection chatbot
- Testing integrations with partner banks (Halyk, Freedom/FFB, BCC, etc.) — redirects, application status exchange, API interaction
- Developing test cases and checklists under the supervision of a senior tester/QA lead
- Manual functional and UI testing of new features before release
- Regression testing after updates and deployments
- Verifying data correctness in the database (application statuses, stage transitions)
- Documenting bugs in the bug tracker with clear reproduction steps
- Participating in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) jointly with the product manager and business team
Requirements:
- Software tester experience of 1–2 years
- Testing experience from 0 to 1 year (internships/pet projects also considered)
- Understanding of basic testing principles: types of testing, test cases, bug reports, priority/severity
- Basic understanding of client-server architecture and web application operation
- Ability to use browser DevTools (Network, Console) — important for checking bank integrations
- Basic SQL knowledge (simple SELECT queries) — for checking application data in the database
- Understanding of what an API is and how REST works (at a conceptual level)
- Attention to detail — critical when testing financial calculations (rates, payments, repayment schedules)
