Senior DevOps / Infrastructure Engineer / Video-CDN Architect

City and office address: Cyprus / Limassol Work format: remote, occasional business trips are possible Employment: full-time Hiring specifics: we are considering candidates with experience in building and supporting their own infrastructure.

Must-have: real production experience with SeaweedFS cluster or the ability to quickly understand and get up to speed.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and support storage infrastructure on SeaweedFS;
• Work with own hardware: bare metal, own servers, own data centers;
• Configure SeaweedFS components: master, volume, filer, S3 gateway;
• Build replication, fault tolerance, backup/restore, monitoring, and alerts;
• Scale the cluster for data and load growth;
• Develop infrastructure for storing and distributing video/heavy content;
• Participate in the development of CDN / edge / cache / origin architecture;
• Optimize latency, bandwidth, and infrastructure costs.

Requirements:

• Real production experience with SeaweedFS cluster (not tests, not PoC);
• Understanding of architecture: master / volume / filer / S3 gateway;
• Ceph / MinIO / S3
• Experience with own infrastructure (bare metal / own servers / own DC);
• Experience in configuring replication, monitoring, backup/restore, fault tolerance;
• Experience with TB/PB data volumes;
• Bonus: video streaming / CDN / edge / HLS / DASH / RTMP / WebRTC.

Important: we are looking specifically for a candidate who has built and supported SeaweedFS in production hands-on. Experience only with MinIO, Ceph, AWS S3, or cloud managed storage without SeaweedFS will be considered provided the candidate is willing to work with SeaweedFS.
