Android Developer for the MSDK Team
Company: 2GIS
The Mobile SDK team is responsible for the development and system evolution of the mobile SDK for the most in-demand mobile platforms.
We create a product and technological foundation that allows other mobile teams to quickly and predictably integrate key functionalities into applications, relying on unified APIs, stable behavior, and clear update rules.
We are looking for a mobile developer to evolve the mobile SDK. The key task is not just to write code, but to develop and support the core of the product, which is used by thousands of developers.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain SDK functionality — from UI to complex business logic;
- write high-quality and maintainable code in Kotlin, Swift, or Dart depending on the platform;
- work with SwiftUI/UIKit, Jetpack Compose, and Flutter;
- integrate and enhance C++ code at the Middle level;
- design robust APIs and refactor existing code;
- diagnose and fix crashes, performance issues, and runtime errors;
- participate in the evolution of the SDK architecture and improvement of its stability and usability for consumer teams.
We Expect You to Have
- Commercial experience in mobile development with Kotlin, Swift, or Dart;
- deep understanding of the mobile application lifecycle, multithreading, and memory management;
- confidently work with C++: be able to read, modify, and debug code;
- ability to understand complex legacy code and gradually make it more understandable and maintainable;
- proficiency in tools for diagnosing performance and stability of mobile applications.
Will Be a Plus
- Experience integrating C++ into iOS (Objective-C++), Android (JNI), or Flutter (FFI);
- experience developing SDKs for external or internal teams;
- experience with maps, navigation, and geodata;
- experience with build configuration using CMake, Gradle, CocoaPods/SPM;
- experience with CI/CD pipelines.
