Staff / Principal Software Engineer Company: A British technology leader in the CleanTech sector. They develop unique energy storage systems and software for their integration into power grids. The project is scaling with the support of major global investors (Goldman Sachs, Rio Tinto) and combines high-load software, ML forecasts, and real physical installations. Location: Europe.

Responsibilities:

• Development of automated trading systems (Day-ahead, Intraday, Balancing).
• Creation of microservices for integration with network operators and market platforms.
• Building data pipelines (Kafka, PostgreSQL/TimescaleDB).
• Optimization of real-time asset dispatch algorithms.
• Utilization of Agentic AI (Claude Code, MCP) in the development process.

Requirements:

• 15+ years of commercial development experience.
• Higher technical education (a strong mathematical foundation is important).
• Deep experience with statically typed languages (Java, C, or C++).
• Experience developing financial trading applications and real-time systems.
• Willingness to work with Python and Rust (a ramp-up period is provided).
• Deep understanding of distributed systems architecture and Kafka.
• Practical experience with Agentic AI (Claude Code, Cursor, MCP, multi-agent orchestration).
• English B2+ (spoken and written).
