I'm currently building a new pet products venture in Canada and am looking for two freelance professionals for project-based collaboration.
Freelance Pet Product Packaging Designer
Responsibilities:
- Design complete packaging systems for small pet, bird and parrot food products, including stand-up pouches and container labels
- Adapt designs to printer-provided dielines and prepare production-ready files
- Develop and refine brand visuals, graphics, colours and layouts
- Deliver editable, layered Adobe Illustrator source files with proper bleed and trim specifications
Requirements:
- Proven packaging design experience in the pet products or consumer packaged goods industry
- Experience with small animal, bird or parrot food packaging is preferred
- Strong knowledge of packaging production and printing requirements
- A relevant portfolio is required
Freelance Pet Food Regulatory & Label Compliance Consultant
Responsibilities:
- Draft and review packaging and label content for pet food and related products
- Review ingredient declarations, product descriptions, warnings and marketing claims
- Help ensure that product labels and promotional content meet applicable Canadian requirements
Requirements:
- Experience in regulatory writing, label compliance or consumer product compliance
- Experience with Canadian pet food, animal feed or imported animal product regulations is strongly preferred
- Excellent professional English writing skills and strong attention to detail
Engagement: Freelance, part-time and project-based, with the possibility of ongoing collaboration
Location: Preference for candidates based in Toronto or the Greater Toronto Area; qualified remote candidates are also welcome
Compensation: Paid in Canadian dollars and based on experience and project scope
