📌Tasks:
- Profile the pipeline from start to finish and identify real bottlenecks in algorithms, C-code, and Db2;
- Build baseline performance metrics and regression checks to prove the safety of each change;
- Refactor and optimize legacy C / Embedded SQL code while maintaining exact identity of results;
- Increase throughput by improving algorithms, SQL, batching, and parallel processing (OpenMP);
- Present results and trade-offs to customer’s technical management in English.
🔺Requirements:
- English for direct technical communication with the client;
- Strong commercial experience in C development under Linux;
- Hands-on experience with IBM Db2 and Embedded SQL (strong Pro*C or equivalent experience may be considered);
- Multithreading in C; OpenMP preferred;
- Proven performance optimization experience: profiling, algorithm and SQL optimization, measurable results;
- Confident work with large legacy codebases;
- Active use of AI tools for coding (Claude Code or similar).
➕Will be a plus:
- Intel C compiler / toolchain (icc, VTune);
- Processing large batch data / ETL;
- Genomics or bioinformatics domain.
