We are looking for a DevOps engineer who can make AppMagic even faster and more stable worldwide.
What you will need to do:
- Dive into the current infrastructure, understand the approaches, processes, identify bottlenecks for optimization and improvements, and also monitor payments for services and servers.
- Maintain two Kubernetes clusters deployed via kubespray on ~40 servers, update database versions, auxiliary systems.
- Develop and configure CI/CD processes, help developers solve infrastructure-related tasks.
- Set up and optimize backups of vital tools for the service: databases, GitLab, Jira, Grafana, etc.
- Control access to databases and other systems.
- Improve monitoring systems and troubleshoot as necessary.
Tech stack: Kubernetes, Ansible, PostgreSQL, Clickhouse, RabbitMQ, MongoDB, GitLab, Grafana, Prometheus, Jira. Servers on OVH.
What is important:
- 3+ years of experience in a DevOps role, ideally in a product company or startup with a similar stack. We are looking for someone who will "be passionate about the product" with us and make it better.
- Alignment in approaches:
- you document everything you do with code right away.
- you understand the advantages and specifics of running stateful services in kubernetes.
- you enjoy a fast-paced work environment and it's important for you to keep everything under control.
- In terms of practical skills, experience with the following is critical for us:
- Kubernetes: deploying clusters via kubespray on bare-metal/VMs. Knowledge of advanced kubernetes settings - networking - will be a plus.
- Clickhouse, Postgres: setup, backups, replication, monitoring, optimization of queries and resources to prevent databases from failing under load.
- Monitoring and CI/CD systems.
- Ansible, you share the IaC approach.
- Proactivity and a drive to automate everything you are too lazy to do manually.
