Vacancy: Platform & Security Operations Engineer
Company: Name under NDA. A regulated OTC crypto platform operating in Dubai under VARA license.
Employment: full-time, hybrid, in-house employment
Location: Dubai, UAE
Salary: 32,000–36,000 AED per month
Area of responsibility:
- Ownership of production infrastructure and Kubernetes clusters.
- Infrastructure development with Terraform/Terragrunt: network, data, and identity.
- Support and development of GitOps processes.
- Building security monitoring: alerts, detection rules, false positive tuning.
- Development of incident runbooks and launch of on-call rotation.
- Responding to production and security incidents, conducting postmortems.
- Development of CI/CD and software supply chain security.
- Setting up dependency scanning, image scanning, and artifact signing.
- Formalization of infrastructure regulations and processes.
- Preparation of technical evidence for external audits.
Requirements:
- Strong production experience with Kubernetes: upgrades, workload identity, network policies, autoscaling, and incident investigation.
- Experience with Terraform and Terragrunt, Atlantis, or similar tools.
- Hands-on GitOps experience with Flux, ArgoCD, or similar.
- Deep knowledge of AWS: VPC, multi-AZ, KMS, OIDC federation, DNS.
- Experience passing external audits: ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS, HIPAA, or similar.
- Hands-on security monitoring and detection engineering experience: alerting, rule tuning, false positive reduction.
- Experience working with production systems where failures or leaks lead to serious financial and regulatory consequences.
- Experience with AI development tools and understanding the limitations of AI-generated code.
