We at FunCorp are creating a new musical technology product for those who sing and play the guitar. The product is in a closed experimental phase, but the idea is ambitious: to give a live musician the opportunity to play with AI in a way that feels like rehearsing with a real band — not playing to a static backing track.

We are looking for an Engineer for our startup team who not only knows how to train models but also picks up a guitar themselves to check if it sounds right. This role is at the intersection of mathematics, invention, audio, and live music.

What you will do: — Conduct research based on a large number of real guitar jams — Work with open-source models, adapting them for musical tasks — Full cycle: from idea and research to implementation and deployment — Generation and recognition of instrument playing — Ear testing — with a guitar in hand — Infrastructure: Docker, cloud, MLOps

Who we are looking for: — You play the guitar (amateur level is okay, but mandatory) — Experience in audio/speech ML — generation, recognition, sound processing — Ability to adapt open-source models for the task — You can hear when a model sounds right and when it doesn't — You want to work in an AI Native company

Format: full-time, fully remote.
