Senior Backend Engineers

I'm working with a profitable, fully bootstrapped data platform used by VC and PE firms to find companies worth backing, and they're hiring 2x Senior Backend Engineers.

The backend team is currently two people, and they've supported ~150% product growth over the last 18 months. So this is a role with real ownership, not a seat on a big team.

They're after strong Python and FastAPI (or similar async frameworks), solid SQL and Postgres, and someone who has built products end to end.

What you'd get stuck into:

👉 Scaling Postgres and ClickHouse (billions of rows) and making queries fast 👉 Building the services behind their AI and agentic features, which are central to where the product is heading 👉 Owning architecture decisions on production APIs that other teams rely on

💸 Up to £130k 📍 London (ideally 4 to 5 days in the office)
