We’re still looking for a designer to collaborate with Blue Banana Software.
When we started, we thought “strong UX/UI experience” described what we needed. After reviewing a lot of portfolios, talking to people and getting some very honest feedback, we realised the role is broader and more senior than that.
I’m keeping the original post below because it’s still part of the story, but if you’re considering applying, please read Part 3 for the current requirements.
We’re looking for a freelance designer to collaborate with Blue Banana Software.
The person we’re hoping to find is genuinely strong in both:
Brand will be the first area we work on, so this should be a real strength rather than an occasional side skill. After that, we’d love the collaboration to extend into product and interface design across our apps and digital touchpoints.
Experience designing for Apple platforms would be a strong plus. Some print or editorial experience is also welcome, but secondary.
The work itself is fully remote. We’re based in Florence, though, so we’d be especially happy to hear from designers in Italy — simply because it would be nice to have the possibility of meeting in person from time to time.
We’d like to start with a small paid piece of real work and, if the fit is right on both sides, hopefully build a longer-term collaboration from there.
Portfolios showing strong experience across both brand identity and UI/UX/product design will be prioritised.
