We are looking for an HFT Core Engineer (C++) — senior level

In an ambitious tech-first project at the intersection of algo-trading and AI, we are looking for a strong engineer who wants to build a system from scratch and influence its architecture.

💡 About the project

This is not a classic startup: it is a long-term (10+ years) AI project with continuous funding. Currently, the main focus is HFT/algo-trading, later — scaling into AI research at the DeepMind level.

👨‍💻 What you will do

— Develop the core of the trading system (execution engine, event loop) — Design data models (orders, positions, trades) — Perform ultra low-latency optimizations (CPU/cache/memory) — Implement risk systems and capital management logic — Build the system from scratch with an emphasis on performance and correctness

🧠 Who we are looking for

— Strong C++ (2+ years) — Overall experience in HFT / low-latency systems ~4+ years — Deep understanding of concurrency, memory model — Experience in designing complex systems — Understanding of trading (execution, risk, order lifecycle) will be a plus

🌍 Conditions

— €140–160k per year — Remote work / relocation to the Netherlands (priority) or London — Remote start is possible (but with mandatory subsequent relocation) — Small, strong team (~20 people) — Influence on the product from an early stage (MVP)
