Senior ML Engineer

Tripster is a TravelTech service for online booking of excursions and tours worldwide.

Our mission is to create inspiring experiences for travelers in 800+ cities worldwide. We are developing our own website, mobile applications for travelers and guides, partner services, and internal products to make travel more accessible and richer.

We are currently in the active launch phase of our AI initiative, integrating Machine Learning and LLM solutions into key products (search, recommendations, pricing, and chatbots). We are looking for a Senior ML Engineer who will not just 'train a model' but take responsibility for building the ML division within the company: from the initial pipelines to a full-fledged, high-load production system.

Responsibilities

• Full Cycle of ML Solutions: From research and feature generation to model training (ranking, classic ML) and implementing vector search.
• Production & Engineering: Deploying models, creating API services, organizing batch and online inference, setting up monitoring, and optimizing latency.
• Architecture: Designing ML systems, selecting the technology stack, and automating processes from scratch.
• LLM & AI: Integrating LLMs via API, implementing RAG systems, prompt engineering, and quality assessment.
• Validation: Conducting A/B tests and selecting metrics to verify hypothesis quality.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as an ML Engineer / Applied ML Engineer / Senior DS.
• Proficient in Python and understand the entire ML lifecycle.
• Independently packaged a model into a service and experienced with Docker, Kubernetes, Airflow.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with analytical databases (Postgres, ClickHouse).
• Ability to build processes where they don't yet exist.
• Will be an advantage: experience with ElasticSearch, LLMs (OpenAI/Claude/YandexGPT), and RAG systems.
