**Senior Data Engineer (Data & Platform Foundations) **🇦🇪🏗

Relocation from Russia to Abu Dhabi, UAE (Onsite). Format: Full-time (long-term Government project). Language: English (B2+ and above). Start: ASAP. Relocation: Full support for relocation. A minimum of the first 6 months of onsite work, after which hybrid or remote work is possible by agreement.

🚀 About the project: Building a modern Data Lakehouse and pipelines for unstructured data as part of a large-scale AI project for supply chains and engineering workflows. Work in a strictly regulated and secure environment.

🛠 Tech Stack: Languages: Python, SQL. Data Stack: Spark, Kafka, Airflow, Databricks / Delta Lake. Integrations: SAP S/4HANA, SAP Ariba (SAP BTP is a plus), PLM systems. AI Ops: Vector Databases (Weaviate / Milvus), RAG pipelines. Infrastructure: Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, dbt / Dagster / Prefect.

📋 What you will do: — Design and delivery of a Data Lakehouse architecture as a single source of truth for analytics and AI. — Building data ingestion pipelines from corporate systems (SAP, PLM) with near real-time data availability. — Integration of external market feeds to enrich procurement and operations data. — Processing unstructured data (PDF tenders, drawings, technical documentation) into formats ready for vector search (RAG). — Optimization of vector databases for fast information retrieval. — Implementation of Governance: audit, RBAC, Data Lineage, automatic data quality checks (BOM, cost).

🎯 Requirements (Must-have): — 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering (of which 2+ years with pipelines for ML/GenAI/RAG). — Solid experience with Spark, Kafka, and Airflow. — Proven experience integrating with SAP systems (S/4HANA, Ariba). — Practical skills with Databricks and PostgreSQL. — Willingness to undergo a strict security background screening.

➕ Pluses: — Knowledge of the Supply Chain / Manufacturing domain (procurement lifecycle, BOM). — Experience working in closed/restricted network environments. — Understanding of Digital Thread concepts and data traceability.
