Senior Backend Developer (C# / .NET)

At HyperHug, we create mobile games and are growing fast 🚀 We are currently looking for a Senior Backend Developer to help develop our flagship game, Oxide: Survival Island — a multiplayer survival shooter for mobile.

🎯 Responsibilities: — Develop and maintain backend services on C# / .NET: game APIs, player profiles, in-game economy, chat, clans, monetization, and server orchestration. — Work with the analytics/data layer: ingestion pipelines, OLAP schemas, retention/LTV/ROAS aggregates, and BI tools for LiveOps and marketing. — Integrate payment and attribution systems, process webhooks, retries, refunds, and noisy data. — Work with real-time systems: pub-sub, notifications, sessions, leaderboards, cache/event-driven interactions. — Work with dedicated game servers and internal admin / LiveOps tools.

🧠 What we expect from you: — 5+ years of backend experience and experience with production systems. — Strong C# / .NET skills. — Experience with distributed / real-time systems, pub-sub, and caching. — Experience with OLAP / analytics pipelines and columnar databases. — Understanding of idempotency, eventual consistency, and highload patterns. — Experience with integrations with payments / attribution / external APIs will be a big plus. — Willingness to work across a broad backend scope: backend services, data, infra, internal tools, LiveOps.
