My friend is directly hiring 3 strong engineers for his team. In Dubai, with visa and paid relocation.

I’ll say right away why I decided to write a separate post about this. Tens of vacancies with the relocation tag pass by me, and most of them have fine print saying the visa is your responsibility. In this case, it’s the opposite: UAE visa sponsorship, relocation assistance, and medical insurance are included in the offer.

What kind of company is it?

A growing startup headquartered in Dubai, building a platform with AI capabilities for government and quasi-government organizations. The team includes people from G42 and Meta, some with research and PhD backgrounds. The office is near Dubai Internet City and Palm Jumeirah.

Who are they looking for? 3 specialists.

🔹 Senior Full-Stack Engineer. TypeScript, React, modern frontend plus backend on Node.js or Express and PostgreSQL. Lots of data-rich interfaces, authentication, security. Next.js App Router, Tailwind, TanStack Query, visualization via Mapbox GL, deck.gl or Cytoscape, real-time using SSE and WebSockets, tests in Playwright and Vitest will be a plus.

🔹 Backend / Data Engineer. Python with FastAPI or TypeScript with Express. You will own services that connect the frontend, AI agent, databases, identity systems, and external data providers. Strong PostgreSQL is required: schemas, migrations, transactions, performance. Plus OAuth/OIDC, JWT, RBAC. Snowflake or ClickHouse, geodata, graph models, GCP or AWS, Temporal as bonuses.

🔹 Senior QA & AI Evals Engineer. This is a rare role, and personally, I find it the most interesting. Building a quality system for two worlds at once: ordinary deterministic software and non-deterministic AI outputs. Playwright, pytest, Vitest, Gherkin and BDD, and on top of that, LLM evaluation via Langfuse with datasets, metrics, and regression gates directly in CI.

Why is it worth considering, even if you are not actively looking right now?

Compensation in the UAE is competitive, and there is no income tax. The team is small, so your impact on the product is immediately visible, not after three layers of approvals. And AI in the public sector is a domain where experience grows rapidly because the tasks are challenging.
