About the Project

The QA engineer will support backend systems responsible for processing and analysing manufacturing and machine-generated datasets used throughout operations. The team is currently working through a prioritised backlog of critical delivery items related to:

● backend calculations ● file processing ● data transformation ● manufacturing reporting ● analytical tooling

This is not a traditional UI-focused QA role. The majority of testing activity will focus on: ● backend validation ● data integrity ● calculation accuracy ● file-processing verification ● analytical workflows

Existing Team Structure

The engineer will work closely with: ● Engineering Manager ● Technical Lead ● 2 Developers ● 1 Tester

The team operates remotely using Kanban-style Agile delivery.

Must-Have Experience & Skills

Technical

● 5+ years Manual QA experience ● Strong backend/system testing experience ● Experience validating data-heavy or processing-heavy systems ● SQL/database validation experience ● Experience in planning and writing test plans and test scripts ● Experience in reporting test progress and coverage ● Strong defect investigation and reporting capability ● Experience working within Agile delivery teams

Business & Delivery

● Fluent technical English ● Strong remote collaboration experience ● Comfortable operating independently ● Strong communication capability ● Comfortable working within evolving priorities and delivery environments

Nice-to-Have Skills

● Ranorex ● Selenium ● Scientific or analytical systems exposure ● Manufacturing systems exposure ● File-processing / CSV validation ● Experience testing calculation-heavy systems
