Go Developer at IDM

We are looking for an experienced Go developer to join the IDM team within Yandex Platform Engineering.

Platform Engineering is a global trend that grew out of DevOps and is now rapidly gaining popularity. The goal of Platform Engineering is to help teams develop their products and spend less time interacting with infrastructure. This is possible through automation and easy self-service configuration of processes.

IDM (Identity Manager) is a high-load platform for managing roles and access for employees and service accounts, ensuring security and efficiency for over 130,000 users across 1,000+ systems.

Architecture Review Our service has survived many technological revolutions and several generations of developers. It's time to turn the page. Therefore, we are completely rewriting the old monolith into a microservices architecture, while rethinking existing functionality, adding flexibility, increasing stability, and relentlessly burying old legacy.

Developing New Features The new architecture opens up new possibilities that weren't available in the old legacy, and our product backlog already contains useful and promising tasks for years to come.

Creating New Services Development within an established service with its own rules and limitations is one thing. But many features don't fit into old frameworks, so you will have the opportunity to build something from scratch, with all the pros and cons of such responsibility.

We expect you to

• Write high-quality, clear, and reliable code in Go, covering it with tests
• Have developed backend for multi-component systems using popular SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB), message brokers (e.g., Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ), and monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus)
• Understand how to properly implement functions in the microservices concept in Go — both at high and low levels
• Can argue your vision of a solution and respond constructively to criticism
• Are a team player, capable of interacting with other developers and sharing knowledge and experience
• Are ready to absorb new knowledge about related technologies and tools and apply them in daily work
