Freelance Hunting Writer

Can you write hunting copy that sounds like a hunter, not a press release? Lets talk. 🦆🦌

Traditions Media has been telling outdoor brands stories for 20+ years, and were looking for a freelance writer who lives, breathes and bleeds hunting.

WHAT THE WORK LOOKS LIKE

Press releases, product stories, features and brand copy for hunting brands, from whitetails and turkeys to waterfowl and upland.

WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR

• You know the sport and you speak the language. Rut phases, decoy spreads, draw odds, none of it needs explaining
• You understand hunting gear and can explain why it matters to the guy in the field
• You write like people talk, not like a spec sheet
• You work smart and turn in clean copy on deadline. Around here you get two strikes, not three
• You take edits well and nail the voice on the next draft
• Youre self-motivated and dont need to be chased

THE DEAL

Remote, freelance, ongoing work for the right writer.

WANT IN?

Im only considering direct emails to noel@traditionsmedia.com. Send me a little background, couple hunting pieces youre proud of, and 150 words on a piece of hunting gear you love. Make me want to buy it.
