Job Description

As a Freelance Medical Interpreter, you will facilitate communication between patients and healthcare professionals by accurately interpreting conversations between English and your target language. You will help ensure clear communication while maintaining confidentiality, impartiality, and professional interpreting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• ✅ Interpret medical conversations accurately and completely.
• ✅ Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers.
• ✅ Maintain confidentiality and adhere to applicable privacy requirements.
• ✅ Use appropriate medical terminology and professional interpreting techniques.
• ✅ Remain impartial, culturally sensitive, and professional during every assignment.

Requirements

• ✔️ Native or near-native proficiency in at least one of the target languages listed above.
• ✔️ C1 or C2 English proficiency, both spoken and written.
• ✔️ At least one year of professional interpreting experience preferred.
• ✔️ Medical interpreting experience is an advantage.
• ✔️ Excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• ✔️ Strong understanding of interpreting ethics, accuracy, impartiality, and confidentiality.
• ✔️ Reliable high-speed internet connection, a computer, and a suitable remote work environment.
• ✔️ Ability to work independently and meet client scheduling requirements.
