Job description: We are looking for an experienced DevOps / infrastructure engineer to work with a production infrastructure on Proxmox VE (several services, including web and telephony). It is necessary to conduct a thorough audit, check backup processes, help with the safe recovery/rebuilding of one problematic LXC container, and prepare a practical plan for improving reliability.

We need an engineer who first analyzes the situation, explains the risks, and records actions, and then makes changes — not just "install packages".

Tasks:

• audit of Proxmox VE / LXC / storage infrastructure;
• check of Proxmox Backup Server and current backup processes;
• safe restore test in an isolated environment;
• recovery / rebuilding of a problematic LXC container;
• assessment of current infrastructure risks;
• recommendations for deletion-resistant / immutable / offsite backup;
• basic security hardening without chaotic changes on production;
• short written report: what was checked, what are the risks, what to do next.

Mandatory experience:

• confident Linux administration;
• practical experience with Proxmox VE and Proxmox Backup Server;
• working with LXC containers, troubleshooting and recovery of containers / VMs;
• understanding of storage, filesystem, raw/qcow2 images;
• experience with backup / restore tests;
• careful work with production and ability to explain risky actions before performing them.

Will be a plus: Asterisk / VoIP, Plesk, immutable backup, S3 Object Lock, ZFS snapshots, offsite backup, disaster recovery planning, security-sensitive cases.
