We are looking for an experienced Java backend developer to work on business applications in a long-term project. The role involves not only development but also active participation in team development: mentoring, code review, task decomposition, and forming technical proposals for project development.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and enhance backend services according to specifications from analysts and functional consultants
- Write unit tests (mandatory requirement)
- Decompose complex tasks and estimate effort
- Resolve incidents escalated to the third line of support
- Optimize software solutions and improve system performance
- Control code quality and conduct code reviews
- Mentor and develop team members
- Formulate proposals for the technical development of the project
- Promptly respond to problems within your area of responsibility and propose solutions for system recovery
- Provide activity reports to the manager
What we expect:
- Confident command of Java 11/17: JMM, concurrency, JVM profiling
- Solid knowledge of SQL, experience in creating complex queries, optimization, and developing PL/SQL procedures; PostgreSQL / Oracle
- Skills in using JPA/Hibernate, JDBC
- Knowledge of Spring, Spring Boot
- Experience using build tools Maven/Gradle
- Proficiency in unit testing practices (JUnit, Mockito) — mandatory requirement
- Integration design: REST API, XML/JSON formats, message brokers (Kafka/RabbitMQ); skills in developing complex integration solutions
- Performance optimization skills: profiling, bottleneck identification
- Experience in log analysis, distributed tracing, configuring monitoring and alerting
- Git usage skills
- CI/CD pipeline setup: GitLab CI, GitLab Runner
- Microservice solution design
- Confident work with Docker (including docker-compose); Kubernetes — a plus
- Experience working with Scrum/Kanban
- Knowledge of Linux shell script
