We are looking for an experienced Lead .NET/Azure Developer to drive the development of a large, business-critical platform for a US-based client.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role combining active software development with responsibility for engineering quality and team development. You will work closely with solution architects, QA, DevOps, and product teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and maintainable solutions.

Responsibilities
- Lead the development and improvement of backend services built with C#, .NET, and ASP.NET Core.
- Remain actively involved in coding and solving complex technical challenges.
- Improve code quality, maintainability, performance, and overall engineering standards.
- Design and develop APIs, integrations, and data access solutions.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure compliance with agreed development practices.
- Mentor developers and support their technical and professional growth.
- Collaborate with architects on the implementation of architectural decisions.
- Work closely with QA and DevOps teams to improve testing, deployment, monitoring, and release processes.
- Identify and resolve performance, scalability, and reliability issues in production systems.
- Contribute to CI/CD improvements and the introduction of automated quality controls.
- Help identify and reduce technical debt.
- Translate product and business requirements into practical technical solutions.

Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of commercial software development experience.
- Strong expertise in C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, and Web API.
- Solid practical knowledge of Entity Framework and EF Core.
- Hands-on experience with Azure App Services, Azure SQL, Azure DevOps, and Application Insights.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and modern software delivery practices.
- Proven experience improving the performance, scalability, and reliability of production systems.
- Experience leading developers, conducting code reviews, and mentoring engineering teams.
- Good understanding of API design, integrations, and software architecture principles.
- Ability to work effectively with architects, QA, DevOps, and product stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills.
- Fluent English for direct collaboration with an international team and US-based client.
Nice to Have
- Frontend development experience with Angular or React.
- Experience with Redis or other distributed caching solutions.
- Knowledge of Azure Front Door, API Management, Service Bus, and Azure Storage.
- Experience in insurance, fintech, or another regulated industry.
- Experience implementing test automation and CI/CD quality gates.
