A global product team is launching a new service with its own server infrastructure. The developer and project manager are already in the team — you will be the sole network engineer and responsible for the entire infrastructure.
▪️Key tasks: ▫️Architecture: designing server infrastructure from scratch, selecting solutions and providers. ▫️Operation: deployment and maintenance of a server fleet in different locations, deployment automation. ▫️Network: routing, network security, performance optimization. ▫️Reliability: fault tolerance, monitoring with alerts and automatic failover. ▫️Interaction: working with the developer on integrating infrastructure with the product.
▪️What we expect: ▫️Experience: 3+ years as a network engineer. ▫️Tech Stack: strong Linux, TCP/IP, routing knowledge. ▫️Infrastructure: practical experience with rented VPS and dedicated servers from foreign providers. ▫️Automation: Ansible, Terraform, or custom scripts. ▫️Monitoring: Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, or similar. ▫️Bonus points: experience with an ISP, hosting provider, or data center, Docker, Kubernetes.
