Data Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to develop and enhance our corporate data warehouse. The specialist will participate in designing data flows, creating data marts, optimizing SQL queries, and developing the DWH architecture.

🔧 Tasks:

• Design and develop data flows using ETL/ELT tools;
• Develop program code and conduct its testing;
• Implement custom data transformations;
• Design and create data prototypes and marts;
• Develop procedures in PL/pgSQL;
• Analyze the performance of existing systems;
• Optimize SQL queries and database structures;
• Participate in scaling and improving system performance;
• Develop DWH architecture;
• Analyze and select optimal technologies, tools, and methodologies;
• Create and update a knowledge base for data warehouse users;
• Support and monitor information systems within their area of responsibility.

🧩 What is important:

• Knowledge of data warehousing principles and DWH architecture;

• Understanding of MPP system principles;

• Practical experience with the Hadoop ecosystem:

  HDFS; / YARN; / Apache Spark; / Apache Kafka; / Apache NiFi; / Sqoop; / Flume;

• Confident knowledge of SQL, including DDL and DML;

• Experience in analyzing and optimizing complex SQL queries;

• Experience developing in PL/pgSQL;

• Practical experience with Greenplum or excellent knowledge of PostgreSQL;

• Experience with ETL tools SAS Data Integration Studio and/or Informatica PowerCenter;

• Understanding of data flow design, transformation, and loading processes;

• Experience in supporting and monitoring information systems;

• Skills in maintaining project and technical documentation;

• Experience with Git, Jira, and Confluence.
