FinDev is looking for a Senior Quantitative ML Engineer (Python)

We are looking for an engineer at the intersection of machine learning, quantitative finance, and production engineering for an electronic trading project.

This is not a typical vacancy in the field of LLMs, chatbots, or AI agents. We need someone who can take research models and turn them into reliable production systems that work with financial time series and market data in near real-time.

What you will be doing:

• Developing and maintaining production ML systems for electronic trading. • Working with financial time series and forecasting models. • Deploying and optimizing ML models in a low-latency environment. • Developing scalable services in Python. • Building infrastructure around ML models: Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka. • Monitoring model quality and investigating production issues. • Collaborating with Quant Researchers and Software Engineers.

What is important:

✔ Strong Python (5+ years). ✔ Experience deploying ML models to production. ✔ Good knowledge of PyTorch or TensorFlow. ✔ Docker and Kubernetes. ✔ Kafka or other messaging systems. ✔ Experience building distributed systems and microservices. ✔ MLOps. ✔ Experience working with time series. ✔ English B2+.

It will be a big plus:

➕ Experience in quantitative finance, fintech, or electronic trading. ➕ Knowledge of equities, bonds, fixed income, swaps, or derivatives. ➕ Experience with low-latency systems. ➕ Systematic trading and quantitative research.

This vacancy is likely not suitable if your recent experience is mainly related to:

• LLMs and chatbots; • RAG and AI agents; • prompt engineering; • computer vision.
