Network Engineer

Mining Vacancy Description:

• Participation in the construction project of fiber-optic communication lines (FOCL) at the mine, deployment of the network core in a new server room

• Configuration of corporate-level managed switches and routers (priority: Mikrotik CCR/CRS)

• Physical and logical separation of the corporate network into isolated segments (VLAN, ACL) — strict traffic separation of IT and Security

• Configuration of fault-tolerant VPN tunnels (IPsec, WireGuard, OpenVPN) between the remote mine, head office, and backup channels

• Configuration of static and dynamic routing (OSPF, BGP), channel aggregation (LACP) to ensure uninterrupted communication

• Monitoring of communication channel stability and network latency, traffic quality management (QoS) for critical business applications

• Higher education in IT or related disciplines;

• Work experience as a network engineer or system administrator with a deep focus on networks for 3+ years;

• Confident knowledge of RouterOS at the level of MTCNA / MTCRE / MTCINE certifications (having certificates will be a huge plus)

• Deep knowledge of the TCP/IP protocol stack, OSI models, VLAN, STP/RSTP, NAT, DHCP, DNS technologies

• Confident knowledge and experience with network security

• Understanding of optical network construction principles, experience with fiber optic panels and basic line diagnostics

• Willingness for short-term business trips to the deposit for commissioning works
