Translator with English and Chinese Language Proficiency

Required Experience: 1 to 3 years Employment: Full-time, 5/2 Format: Office Location: Shanghai

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

1. Translate documents, correspondence, contracts, promotional materials, websites in writing, preserving meaning, style, and terminology
2. Edit and proofread translations
3. Adapt content to the cultural specifics of the target audience
4. Interpret (simultaneous, consecutive) at meetings and conferences
5. Consult employees on linguistic and intercultural issues

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM THE CANDIDATE:

1. Chinese – HSK 6 level
2. English – C2 level
3. Russian - conversational
4. Experience in translation across various industries, including technical translation
5. Knowledge of translation theory, ability to work with reference materials and dictionaries
6. High typing speed for written translation
7. Analytical mindset
8. High stress resistance, attentiveness, ability to concentrate, discipline
9. Deep understanding of Chinese cultural values
10. Knowledge of Chinese official document templates and canons, knowledge of current terminology
