REMOTE GLOBAL | REDUX GAMES
The Redux.games team is the creator of My Perfect Hotel, a mobile game that has been at the top of the global charts for over three years and has gathered over 300 million players. In 2025, we launched a new project globally — Lost Prison, an idle RPG.
It is very important for us to improve the technical and product quality of our projects. In connection with this, we are looking for a Senior QA to strengthen the department.
Responsibilities in the team:
- Conduct full manual testing of the mobile application on Android and iOS platforms (functional, integration, UX/UI, device and OS version compatibility, localization, basic load testing).
- Plan and perform regression testing for releases and hotfixes, define test priorities and risk areas.
- Create and maintain test documentation: test plans, checklists, test cases, testing reports.
- Create detailed bug reports, monitor their lifecycle, and verify fixes.
- Participate in the review of requirements and game designs (GDD), assess risks, and suggest quality improvements before implementation.
- Interact with developers, game designers, analysts, and producers to improve product quality and processes.
- Participate in the analysis of production incidents and root cause analysis.
What we expect from the candidate (Hard skills):
- 4–5+ years of experience in mobile game testing, including commercial releases on iOS and Android.
- Deep understanding of the full game development cycle and the role of QA at all stages: from prototype and soft launch to global release and further live-ops.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate problems, prioritize tasks, and defend a quality-oriented viewpoint.
- Proactivity: the ability not only to find defects but also to suggest improvements to processes, test coverage, and user experience.
- Developed analytical and logical thinking: the ability to establish cause-and-effect relationships, see patterns in user and system behavior, and draw conclusions based on data and observations.
- Experience in end-to-end feature ownership: participation in requirements elaboration, planning and estimation, test coverage preparation, testing at all stages, release support, and quality control after rollout.
- Experience working with client-server game architecture (authorization, progress, matchmaking, in-game events).
- Experience working with game engines (primarily Unity): launching and testing builds, basic problem diagnostics.
- Experience testing monetization: in-app purchases, subscriptions, advertising, including verification of third-party SDK integrations.
- Experience with version control systems (Git/GitHub/GitLab), basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
- Confident skills in using traffic analysis and API tools (Postman, Charles Proxy, and/or similar).
- Practical experience with analytics platforms like Firebase Analytics, Appsflyer, Adjust, Amplitude.
- Confident experience working with the Atlassian ecosystem, primarily:
- Jira - project management and task tracking system (understanding and ability to work with filters, epics, releases, and workflows).
- Confluence - a tool for maintaining and structuring project and product documentation, specifications, and internal team knowledge.
- Experience in managing test documentation in specialized systems: TestRail, as well as their closest functional analogues (Qase, Zephyr, Xray, Testmo).
- Ability to structure test cases, group them by features and releases, maintain their relevance, and track requirement coverage.
Nice-to-have
- Automation of testing and related processes: ability to identify routines, describe, and implement automated solutions (scripts, CI/CD integrations, auto-report generation, notifications).
- Ability to work in Unity Editor, including checking game mechanics, balance, content, and integrations.
- Basic experience or understanding of testing automation principles.
- Good knowledge of various game genres and key product metrics (retention, monetization, progression).
- Ability to work with JSON, parse and analyze API responses, log and reproduce problematic requests.
- Experience with DBeaver or similar tools, basic SQL knowledge for checking data in the database.
- Mentorship experience: onboarding new QAs, reviewing test cases, participating in improving team QA processes.
