Senior C++ Developer (Trading Systems)
About the Role We are looking for an experienced and driven Senior C++ Developer to join our team. In this role, you will work on a substantial and complex codebase, focusing on our core trading infrastructure. You will be directly responsible for implementing and enhancing interfaces for the Tradeweb Dealer Pricing System and Tradeweb Trading System.
Job Details
- Salary: 40 - 65 USD / hour (depending on experience)
- Work Model: 100% Remote
- Schedule: Required 6-hour overlap with US Eastern Time (EST/EDT)
Job Responsibilities
- System Development: Work with a substantial codebase, requiring an inquiring and tenacious approach to development and maintenance.
- Integration: Implement robust code for interfacing with the Tradeweb Dealer Pricing System and Tradeweb Trading System.
- Code Enhancement: Understand the existing codebase for current asset classes and enhance them within the established infrastructure and coding conventions.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the code is tested thoroughly using tools like low-latency test simulators and automated scripts.
- Optimization: Improve overall system performance by identifying and resolving code and procedural inefficiencies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders and product managers to clarify project requirements and specifications.
- Technical Support: Provide 2nd line support by investigating and resolving day-to-day queries for Pricing in development and production environments.
Must Have
- Minimum 5 years of experience developing enterprise multi-user, real-time systems.
- Strong proficiency in C++ (preferably C++20 and later).
- Experience working in a Linux environment.
- Experience with enterprise architecture (client-server, multi-layer systems).
- Solid computer science educational background.
- Quick learner able to understand and debug complex existing enterprise systems.
- Clear and effective oral and written communication skills.
- Pragmatic approach to problem-solving with evidence of planning and testing ability.
- Experience with Scripting (Python, JS/TS, Perl), REST, FIX protocol, and Binary protocols.
- Network Programming (TCP/IP) and Relational Databases.
Nice to Have
- Trading/Finance projects experience.
