About the Role
The company is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join its ML team. This is an engineering-focused role, collaborating with Data Scientists to build and operate the engineering platform and infrastructure required to bring machine learning models into production reliably and at scale. The position involves working at the intersection of software engineering, machine learning, data, and MLOps, with significant ownership over production systems and close collaboration with various teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure for production machine learning systems.
- Build and improve data and ML pipelines supporting model development, deployment, and ongoing operation.
- Own engineering workflows around model deployment, CI/CD, monitoring, reliability, and MLOps.
- Develop systems capable of supporting real-time ML workloads at production scale.
- Work closely with Data Scientists to productionize models and integrate them into customer-facing product experiences.
- Partner with analysts and Product Managers to translate product and data requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Improve the scalability, reliability, performance, and maintainability of ML production systems.
- Take ownership of complex engineering initiatives from technical design through production deployment and optimization.
- Use AI-assisted development tools as part of the engineering workflow while critically reviewing and validating their output.
Requirements
- Senior-level software/ML engineering experience with strong engineering fundamentals.
- Proven experience building and operating complex real-time production systems at scale.
- Hands-on experience with ML infrastructure, data pipelines, model pipelines, CI/CD, and/or MLOps.
- Experience taking machine learning systems beyond experimentation and operating them in a real production environment.
- Ability to design reliable and scalable engineering systems around machine learning models.
- Strong ownership and ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment with changing requirements.
- Experience using AI development tools in day-to-day engineering work, with the ability to review, validate, and reason about AI-generated solutions rather than relying on them blindly.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Fluent Hebrew - mandatory.
