In connection with the active expansion of our product line and an increase in the volume of technical support for existing systems, we are opening recruitment for the position of "Junior Backend Developer".

We are looking for not just a beginner who knows syntax, but a curious theoretician who is ready to dive headfirst into the world of industrial development. Here you will encounter real "battle-tested" legacy code on Yii 2.0, which requires a master's touch. This is the perfect place to start if you want to gain experience in six months that would normally take two years in a calmer company.

What you will be doing (real scope of work)

You will become part of the website technical support team. We are looking for a Junior specialist who is not afraid of "dirty work" and can switch between dozens of contexts in a day.

• Working with legacy code: Analysis, refactoring, and enhancement of existing code on the Yii 2.0 and Laravel frameworks.
• Multitasking: Working in a "choppy" schedule – switching between different projects of the group of companies as incidents arise.
• Technical Support: Quickly fixing critical production bugs to ensure clients' businesses run without interruption.
• Optimization: Writing clean SQL queries and optimizing slow code sections.
• Interaction: Communicating with the team lead and senior developers to clarify technical specifications and architectural solutions.

Our requirements (we value fundamentals and intellect)

We are ready to take on a beginner, but you must clearly understand how the web works. We value theoretical knowledge more than the readiness to churn out tons of code.

Required:

• Solid understanding of OOP theory, design patterns, and MVC basics.
• Understanding of PHP 7/8 syntax and ability to work with databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) at the level of writing complex queries.
• Basic skills in working with Yii 2.0 or Laravel frameworks (at the level of reading documentation and writing simple controllers).
• Knowledge of Git (basic commands commit, push, pull, merge).
• Understanding of HTTP, REST API principles, and basic Linux operations (environment setup).

Will be a plus (but not required):

• Presence of pet projects on GitHub.
• Understanding of queue principles (RabbitMQ/Redis).
