🚀 Astana Hub is looking for a DevOps Engineer / System Administrator
We are looking for a specialist who will help develop and maintain the infrastructure of our projects — from servers and CI/CD to networks, monitoring, and security.
Format: on-site work at Astana Hub office
Schedule: 5/2
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and develop Astana Hub project infrastructure;
- Work with Linux servers, Windows servers, Docker, GitLab CI/CD, Nginx, PostgreSQL;
- Assist in setting up build, test, and deploy pipelines;
- Monitor service health checks, logs, monitoring, and alerts;
- Participate in incident diagnostics: review logs, check services, identify causes;
- Assist with backups, testing restore procedures, and fault tolerance;
- Participate in local infrastructure administration: servers, workstations, network equipment, Wi-Fi, switches;
- Participate in network administration: check service availability, ports, routes, DNS, firewall rules;
- Assist in configuring and supporting VPN access for internal systems;
- Document infrastructure, network diagrams, VPN access, runbooks, and typical operations;
- Participate in security hardening tasks: SSH, firewall, secrets, access, updates;
- Assist in standardizing infrastructure and DevOps processes.
What we expect from you:
- 1-3 years of experience;
- Linux knowledge: SSH, systemd, processes, permissions, network;
- Windows Server administration experience at the user, service, network, update, and basic diagnostics level;
- Proficient in Git;
- Understanding of Docker: images, containers, volumes, networks, docker compose;
- Understanding of CI/CD principles;
- Experience or understanding of GitLab CI;
- Knowledge of HTTP, DNS, TLS, ports, reverse proxy;
- Experience or understanding of Nginx;
- Basic understanding of Kubernetes or Nomad;
- Experience with PostgreSQL for backup, restore, connectivity;
- Understanding of networks: IP, subnet, routing, NAT, firewall, DNS;
- Understanding of VPN principles and experience with VPN clients/access.
- Experience or understanding of configuring Wi-Fi networks, access points, and switches;
- Understanding how to check service status: logs, status, health-check, curl;
- Familiarity with Grafana, Prometheus, Uptime Kuma, Sentry, or similar tools;
- Understanding of security: secrets, least privilege, firewall, updates.
