Freelance Video Editor

I’m looking for a freelance video editor to help shape longform interview content for our Tell Beyond podcast

This is not primarily a technical editing role. The conversations themselves are already strong. The challenge is improving YouTube retention, opening structure and pacing without losing the depth and natural rhythm of the interviews.

Tell Beyond is built around thoughtful, in-depth conversations rather than high-energy creator content. I’m looking for someone who understands interview storytelling and can shape narrative tension and curiosity without over-editing or flattening the conversation.

The role would initially focus on three already filmed episodes as a test project.

I’m looking for someone who can:

• identify strong cold opens and opening hooks
• tighten the first 2–5 minutes of an episode
• edit for narrative flow and audience retention
• understand YouTube viewer behaviour, titles and thumbnails
• work sensitively with intelligent, conversation-led content

This is probably better suited to someone with experience in documentary, interview or editorial storytelling than fast-cut social media editing.
