Senior Data Scientist | Remote
Quantum One is an Abu Dhabi-based AI consulting and solutions company. We design and deploy AI/ML systems for industrial clients across the energy, logistics, manufacturing and infrastructure sectors in the UAE.
The Senior Data Scientist is accountable for the modelling component of client engagements from problem definition to production deployment.
Key responsibilities
- Translate client operational objectives into well-defined modelling tasks with agreed success metrics, constraints and data requirements
- Select and justify analytical methods appropriate to industrial problems - time-series analysis, anomaly detection, forecasting, optimisation, computer vision - and develop custom approaches where standard methods are insufficient
- Communicate methodology, assumptions and limitations to client stakeholders, including non-technical operations leadership
- Deliver reproducible modelling pipelines that colleagues can execute and extend independently
- Deploy models to production in collaboration with the engineering team on Databricks: MLflow tracking and registry, inference services, monitoring and retraining
Candidate profile
- A minimum of five years of applied data science with models in production, preferably in industrial, energy, logistics or manufacturing environments
- Sound statistical foundations, including uncertainty and causal reasoning applied to operational data
- Demonstrated depth in time-series modelling and anomaly detection; working knowledge of optimisation methods (OR, RL)
- Hands-on experience with MLflow and standard production ML workflows
- Professional fluency in English
