What you'll do
Security and DPI
- Ensure traffic security: detect port scanning, virus activity, botnets, DDoS attacks, mining, and other prohibited activity through our VPN service
- Implement and maintain DPI solutions: analyze traffic by signatures, work with Suricata, ntopng, and similar tools
- Conduct audits and maintain firewalls: review rules, eliminate vulnerabilities, keep configurations up-to-date
Network and Development
- Organize internal network: audit logical topology, identify and eliminate gaps, form an IPv6 implementation strategy
- Design new approaches to protect and develop network infrastructure
- Participate in on-call shifts on a schedule of one day on, three days off
Requirements
Networks and Security
- Deep knowledge of IP networks above CCNA level, especially IPv6
- Practical experience with DPI: intercepting and analyzing traffic by signatures, working with Suricata, ntopng, and similar tools
- Experience working with large volumes of traffic in a production environment
- Experience in telecom, CDN, streaming services, or major cloud providers
- Experience organizing cross-border channels and working with Internet Exchange Points (IXP)
Routing and Operations
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting BGP, understanding route filtering
- Experience with BIRD, FRRouting, Cisco IOS, or Junos
- Understanding of RPKI, IRR, and RIPE/RIR resource management
- Experience configuring IP transit and peering interactions
- Deep dive into network security and motivation to develop in this area
Nice to have
- Experience building geographically distributed networks
- Knowledge of VPN protocols: WireGuard, OpenVPN, IPsec/IKEv2, Xray, Amnezia
- Scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Go
