About the Company and Team
We are ITK, an IT company in Southern Russia.
We are looking for engineers who know how to write code and want to grow within the Java ecosystem, starting with test automation.
We consider candidates with different backgrounds:
- Junior / Middle Java AQA: You know how to write tests and want to level up in quality engineering.
- Junior Java Developer: You want to enter IT through automation, to transition into development in the future, knowing the system from the inside.
- Full Stack Test Engineer: Ready to cover the entire cycle — from unit tests to integration runs in pipelines.
Candidate Expectations
- Knowledge of Java/Kotlin at the core language and collections level, ability to write code.
- Experience with Git, knowledge of basic commands and working with branches.
- Experience writing autotests in JUnit / TestNG, understanding parameterized tests, writing assertions.
- RestAssured: sending requests, processing responses, working with JSON/XML.
- Understanding how to test Spring Boot applications.
- Basic knowledge of SQL: write a query with JOIN, check data in the database after the test.
- Ability to work with Docker: launch a container with a database or test environment, understand the difference between an image and a container.
- Understanding how tests are run in CI/CD (GitLab/GitHub Actions), ability to read logs of a failed build.
- Presence of pet projects with autotests. Showing code is more important than a diploma.
- Understanding why mocks are needed (Mockito), ability to write them to isolate the class being tested.
Will be a plus
- Experience with Selenium / Playwright.
- Setting up Allure / ExtentReports.
- Working with Kafka / RabbitMQ in tests.
