As this project is actively developing, we are opening a search for a Linux Kernel Developer
Your responsibilities will include:
- development of high-performance data path, control/management path, data protection level, and cluster components for the storage system;
- development of efficient algorithms and data structures for a symmetric active-active cluster;
- development of high-performance data transformation algorithms and data redundancy reduction algorithms;
- research and resolution of performance and stability issues;
- development of data replication mechanisms;
- configuration and refinement of various Linux kernel subsystems, and contribution of developments to the kernel mainline.
We expect from the future team member:
- understanding of modern computer architecture and operating systems in general;
- excellent knowledge of C;
- excellent understanding of how Linux and Linux/POSIX API work;
- experience in performance analysis of individual applications and the system as a whole;
- ability to test your own code;
- experience in writing multithreaded and/or asynchronous programs.
Familiarity with classic algorithms and data structures is also required.
Will be a plus:
- experience in developing kernel modules or system programming experience;
- experience in developing high-load systems;
- experience with the Linux kernel block subsystem.
