Largest Retailer | Project — Logistics Scaling
We are looking for an architect who can handle both business processes and the robust task definition for development. You will work with large-scale data and warehouses.
Mandatory Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience as a functional consultant in implementation and development projects for warehouse and transport logistics management systems (WMS, TMS, distribution center management), including experience independently managing a functional area;
- Knowledge of warehouse and transport business processes: receiving, put-away, picking, shipping, inventory, master data management;
- Experience in surveying customer processes and designing functional solutions: both developing existing functionality and introducing new ones;
- Experience in collecting and formalizing functional and non-functional requirements, preparing task specifications for development;
- Experience in conducting functional testing: preparing scenarios, verifying modifications, documenting issues;
- Experience in describing business processes using BPMN and UML notations;
- Proficiency in the Vectura Framework (VFW) platform in terms of configuration: setting up objects and their fields, status models and transitions, access rights, reference data, report forms;
- Ability to read code in Go and JavaScript to a degree sufficient for analyzing system behavior and defining tasks for developers;
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with PostgreSQL for independent data analysis;
- Experience in maintaining project documentation in Confluence or a similar wiki.
Project Tasks
- Interact with customer's technical and business departments: collect, clarify, and approve requirements for developing existing functionality and implementing new functionality;
- Survey customer processes, identify discrepancies between business needs and current system capabilities, and propose solutions;
- Develop and discuss solution options with the customer, assess their impact on related modules and processes, and approve the selected option;
- Design the functional solution and prepare task specifications for development — both for new functionality and for changes to existing ones — hand them over for implementation, answer developers' clarifying questions, and support the task until completion;
- Participate in estimating work scope, task prioritization, and delivery planning;
- Perform platform configuration that does not require development: configuring objects and fields, status models, access rights, reference data, report forms;
- Conduct functional testing of implemented modifications, document issues, and monitor their resolution by developers;
- Conduct demonstrations of implemented functionality to the customer and ensure solution acceptance;
- Analyze incidents and problems, determine their cause and nature: software defect, data error, configuration issue, or user operational error;
- Document implemented changes: update process descriptions, user manuals, and project documentation in the customer's wiki;
- Manage tasks in the customer's tracker and provide periodic reports on your activities to direct and functional managers.
