Compensation: €8,000–12,000 per month + options + performance bonuses

About the Company

FinCrew is an innovative fintech startup building the next generation of financial and payment infrastructure (Embedded Finance).

Our platform allows companies to launch their own financial products through a single API in weeks instead of months.

We are at the pre-launch stage and are forming our core engineering team.

Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking an experienced Founding Backend Engineer (Elixir) to take technical responsibility for platform development, make architectural decisions, and participate in building the engineering team.

This is an opportunity to become one of the company's first engineers, directly influence the product, and participate in business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and enhance backend infrastructure using Elixir/OTP.

Design high-load, scalable, and fault-tolerant systems.

Develop APIs and integrations with banks and payment providers.

Ensure platform security, performance, and stability.

Make key technical and architectural decisions.

Establish engineering practices and participate in team development.

Mandatory Requirements

7+ years of experience in backend development.

Strong expertise in Elixir, Erlang/OTP, and Phoenix.

Mandatory experience in fintech, banking, or payment systems.

Experience developing distributed and high-load systems.

PostgreSQL, REST API, cloud infrastructure (AWS or similar).

Autonomy, technical leadership, and accountability for results.

Working proficiency in English.

Bonus Points

Experience with card issuing, payment processing, Open Banking, and Embedded Finance.

Knowledge of financial ledger systems, reconciliation, and settlement.

Experience in early-stage startups.

Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Grafana.

Experience managing a technical team.

Knowledge of Russian.
