We are looking for a Data Scientist in Trust and Safety Analytics focused in Detection and Enforcement identifying and mitigating potential risks on the platform. As a Data Scientist in Trust and Safety, you will proactively identify marketplace risks and help remediate them by optimizing our controls program. This is a full-time position reporting to the Manager, Trust and Safety Analytics.
The Trust & Safety Analytics team partners closely with leads across Trust & Safety and Product & Engineering to craft policy, ensure business goals are met or exceeded, and manage the rapidly changing environment of platform risks.
More broadly, the Analytics team at Etsy helps drive the success of our partners by providing meaningful insights, industry-leading measurement techniques, and access to the metrics, data, and tools needed for decision-making and optimization. We partner with our peers through all stages of development: identifying initial opportunities, analyzing the impact of our efforts, and highlighting improvement areas. Ultimately, the team’s work strengthens Etsy and helps continuously improve the Etsy experience.

In addition to salary, you'll be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support you and your family. Base salary is determined by your location, skills, and experience.
We prioritize candidates based within commutable distance of Etsy’s Mexico Office. Depending on proximity, we ask team members to come in once or twice per week. Remote candidates outside commutable distance may be considered on a case-by-case basis, with the expectation of occasional travel to the office.
