Senior Cloud Cost Optimisation Engineer

Requirements: 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or Data Engineering with a strong focus on cost and efficiency. Deep familiarity with AWS and Azure billing models and cost management tools. Deep understanding of data platform architecture – how pipeline design, storage tiering, and compute selection drive costs at scale. Ability to write and review Python/SQL for cost analysis and automation. Experience implementing cost control mechanisms and governance at the program or platform level. Soft skills stand out at this level. Comfortable engaging stakeholders at all levels of seniority: engineers, team leads, and client managers – and driving these discussions. Translates technical findings into clear narratives of business impact and owns the process.
