Automation Test Engineer in FinTech

At Yandex, we develop innovative credit fintech products, including solutions like Yandex Split, which has become a leader in the BNPL market in Russia, and we are actively expanding them. We invite an automation test engineer to join our team to make our systems even more reliable and efficient.

What tasks await you

Backend Test Automation You will develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure uninterrupted releases (over 30 per day). You will write automated tests for products using the Kotlin, JUnit, Spring stack. There will also be tasks related to developing your own microservices in Kotlin and Spring to optimize test execution and increase their stability.

Creating Emulators and Mocks You will be tasked with creating and maintaining emulators for external and internal systems, as well as developing and supporting a mock architecture that serves as dynamic traffic routers for a unified test environment.

CI/CD Tasks You will participate in implementing innovative solutions into credit products that promote rapid growth and uphold high standards of quality, reliability, and scalability. Additionally, you will integrate solutions into Yandex's extensive ecosystem to improve the convenience, functionality, and reliability of processes.

We expect you

• Have over three years of experience in test automation using Java/Kotlin or other OOP languages and are ready to transition to Kotlin
• Have a solid understanding of CI/CD fundamentals (Gitlab CI, Jenkins, etc.)
• Have worked with SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, S3, YDB)
• Understand data structures, algorithms, and their application in testing and development tasks
• Have worked with Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka and have developed microservices
• Are detail-oriented, responsible for results, and able to work in a dynamically changing environment

Will be a plus

• Have worked in banks or with financial products
• Have experience with tasks related to creating test environments, system emulation, and traffic routing
