Vacancy: Senior iOS Developer (Swift)
Sber (GigaChat division)
Work format: Remote work/only considering candidates from Moscow Employment: Full-time Salary: up to 258,775 ₽ Employment type: Sole Proprietor (IP). Project duration: 2 months.
About the project and team:
We are looking for a Senior iOS developer for a 4-person team to work on the GigaChat mobile application. The engagement period for the project is 2 months. You will be working as part of feature teams, creating both large and small product features: from developing new sections in the application to creating widgets for chat and other product tasks. Why it's interesting here: A real AI product used by millions. A strong engineering culture: measurements, profiling, reviews, data-driven decisions. As a Senior, your voice and expertise have real weight. Modern stack without legacy swamp: Swift Concurrency, up-to-date SwiftUI, clean and transparent tools.
Requirements: Over 4 years of commercial iOS development experience. Deep knowledge of Swift and a mature understanding of SwiftUI and UIKit (including understanding where each of them "breaks" and how to "befriend" them properly). Concurrency at the design level: actor isolation, structured concurrency, data-race safety. Ability to independently conduct research from "don't know what's slowing it down" to a measurable result (relying on numbers and metrics, not feelings). Will be a plus: experience with text/layout rendering, performance metrics, development of libraries/frameworks in production.
Responsibilities: Master the architecture of key SDK parts in Swift (SwiftUI + UIKit-interop, modern concurrency). Solve complex streaming and responsive UI tasks: content arrives in parts, the interface should not drop frames. Focus on performance: catch and eliminate hitches, main thread freezes, memory leaks, optimize startup speed. We have our own perf harness and measurements on real devices — the main task is not just to "fix" but to support and tune the problem detection process. Profile using Instruments, Memory Graph, MetricKit at the level of "I read the trace and see the root cause," not "I ran it and it seems better." Lead and implement Swift 6 strict concurrency and data-race safety. Actively conduct code reviews and share expertise with the team.
