🔎 We’re hiring: Freelance Software QA Automation Engineer
ITSEC is looking for a freelance QA engineer who can build reliable automated tests, investigate failures, and give the development team a clear picture of release quality. We need someone who can work independently, understand the product’s critical user journeys, and create tests the team can maintain as the software evolves.
• Design and maintain automated tests for web applications and APIs. • Build regression coverage for critical flows, including authentication, permissions, forms, integrations, and error handling. • Run exploratory and manual tests where automation alone will not reveal the full issue. • Integrate tests into the development pipeline so failures are visible before release. • Investigate failed tests, distinguish product defects from test failures, and improve test reliability. • Report defects with clear reproduction steps, evidence, severity, and business impact. • Provide concise test results and a release readiness summary.
• Proven experience writing and maintaining automated tests for production software. • Strong hands-on experience with Playwright; equivalent experience with Cypress or Selenium will also be considered. • API testing experience, including authentication, validation, and negative test cases. • Ability to write clean test code in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or a comparable language. • Experience running automated tests through a CI/CD pipeline. • Strong manual testing judgment and precise written communication. • Mobile app automation experience, such as Appium, is an advantage.
Freelance engagement: Please include your availability, expected rate, and a brief example of an automation framework or test suite you have built.
