The ProPublica data team is looking for freelance data reporters. Work is available immediately and will continue through at least the end of the year. Projects include original data reporting as well as bulletproofs, a process where one data reporter independently re-creates another reporter’s analysis to verify it before publication.

Candidates should have at least three years of professional experience analyzing and reporting on large datasets using programming languages like Python, R or SQL. The work is remote and can be done on your own schedule, but the ability to attend occasional meetings during Eastern Time business hours is required.
