✅ Senior Data Engineer (DBT, Snowflake)

Company: Forrards Workload - fulltime, remote work Rate: $6k/month ($40/hour)

Description

This is a 1-year contract with a requirement of minimum 4-hour overlap with US Eastern Time. Please note that one candidate was previously rejected by the client due to a lack of dbt experience, so this will be an important requirement to consider going forward.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Snowflake, Coalesce. io, Airbyte, SQL Server/SSIS, with some utilization of Azure Data Factory.
• Build and maintain dimensional data models to ensure high-quality, structured data for analytics and reporting.
• Implement Medallion architecture in Snowflake, managing bronze, silver, and gold layers.
• Collaborate with teams using Jira for task tracking and GitHub for code repository management.
• Ensure reliable ETL processes, data transformations, and data integration workflows.
• Enhance data modeling practices and address weaknesses in dimensional modeling.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Snowflake, Coalesce. io, Airbyte, SQL Server/SSIS, and Azure Data Factory.
• Strong understanding of Medallion architecture and dimensional data modeling.
• Practical experience in building ETL pipelines and transforming data for analytics.
• Familiarity with Jira and GitHub for collaborative work.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
• Minimum 4-hour overlap with US Eastern Time.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to Power BI (optional).
• Experience with Salesforce data integration.
• Background in higher education or ed-tech domains.

Language Proficiency

Intermediate/Upper-Intermediate English.
