Electrical Engineer (Data Center)
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a team delivering large-scale AI and data center infrastructure projects in Warsaw.
In this role, you will provide technical expertise and support the design and verification of electrical power systems for mission-critical facilities. We are looking for someone with strong hands-on experience in high-power electrical installations who can review electrical documentation, perform engineering calculations, and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary project teams, suppliers, and contractors.
The projects include critical infrastructure such as:
Main LV switchboards / UPS systems / Diesel generators / ATS/STS systems / Busway systems and tap-off boxes / Cable routing / IT rack power distribution / HVAC electrical systems / Building automation systems
Responsibilities
- Review, analyze and verify electrical documentation, including Single Line Diagrams (SLDs).
- Support the design and validation of data center power architecture.
- Perform and review electrical load calculations and power balance.
- Select and verify switchboards, protection devices, cables, busways and tap-off boxes.
- Calculate cable sizing, voltage drop and current carrying capacity.
- Perform short-circuit calculations and protection device selection.
- Verify protection coordination and selectivity.
- Assess the impact of ambient temperature, cable routing methods and environmental conditions on equipment selection.
- Provide technical support in selecting UPS systems, generators, ATS/STS equipment and main switchboards.
- Review technical documentation prepared by suppliers and external designers.
- Coordinate with CAD/BIM teams regarding cable routes, busways, switchboards and service clearances.
- Work closely with HVAC, Building Automation, Project Management teams and equipment vendors.
- Prepare technical queries for suppliers and participate in technical meetings.
- Identify project risks related to electrical power systems, overloads, protection schemes and power quality.
- Support the review and acceptance of design and as-built documentation.
